Position Summary: We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to oversee and manage significant projects, particularly in the education and healthcare sectors. This role is based in our North East office and requires a strong mechanical background coupled with a solid understanding of electrical engineering services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage project teams, ensuring effective collaboration among project managers and site managers.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in project management, including the ability to develop comprehensive project programs.
  • Engage in tender meetings and represent the company as the primary point of contact.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial programming through to final commissioning and handover.
  • Maintain excellent client relations, liaising with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure project success.
  • Handle all project aspects, including commercial responsibilities, planning, estimation, and procurement of materials.
  • Conduct quality and risk assessments for each project, ensuring compliance with HSE policies.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, including hiring, development, and training.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Building Services Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Previous experience with multi-million-pound M&E services is essential. A PRINCE2 qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
