Job Role Overview

The primary objective of this role is to provide support to students, ensuring their access to the curriculum and promoting their overall well-being.

The ideal candidate will be expected to embody and uphold the service's vision, values, and purpose, prioritizing the needs and experiences of service users.

This role aims to enhance the education and lives of pupils, requiring the ability to work at various College premises, some of which may be located at a distance from the main sites.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • To fulfill transportation requirements, including travel on public transport
  • To support students with complex needs, which may involve intimate personal care and managing challenging behavior
  • To undertake relevant training, including medication dispensing, first aid, and managing challenging behavior
  • To provide additional support to tutors or students experiencing difficulties, with the goal of enabling participation in timetabled sessions
  • To maintain a proactive and mindful approach to monitoring the physical appearance of the College site, including tasks such as litter picking, weeding, and cleaning toilets as requested
