Role Overview
The Divisional Associate Medical Director will play a key role in supporting the Chief Medical Officer in driving clinical excellence and strategic growth within the organization. This is a unique opportunity to join a leading healthcare provider and contribute to the development of world-class clinical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the CMO in setting strategic direction for clinical services, ensuring stakeholder engagement and operationalization of clinical strategy.
- Collaborate with Modern Matrons and Heads of Departments to ensure regulatory compliance and quality improvement initiatives.
- Work with the Lead RMOs to design and implement clinical pathways and new Standard Operating Policies.
- Ensure timely completion of audits and re-audits for each Department.
- Line manage one or more Lead Resident Medical Officers, ensuring SMART goals are achieved and supporting career development and wellbeing.
- Prioritize staff engagement to deliver high People Pulse Scores and take action from available feedback.
Requirements
- Significant senior-level experience in secondary care, knowledgeable and experienced within the private sector.
- Director-level leadership experience within a health organization.
- Strong experience of building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, skilled in managing sensitive situations.
- A compassionate, supportive, and inclusive leadership style, with experience of line managing senior leaders/clinicians.
- A 'world-class care' mindset and a strong focus on innovation.
- Budget management experience.
- Practising secondary care clinician at consultant level.
