About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to join our team at JP Morgan Chase Bank, National Association. As a key member of our Global Banking division, you will play a critical role in enhancing, building, and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Code Review and Debugging: Develop secure high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
  • Community Building: Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
Requirements
  • Engineering Expertise: Experience with engineering MLOPs capabilities.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Programming Languages: Advanced in one or more programming language(s).
  • Automation and CD: Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
  • Software Development Life Cycle: Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Agile Methodologies: Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
  • Financial Services: In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
  • Cloud Native Experience: Practical cloud native experience.
