Job Overview

Position: Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £37,000 - £43,000 per annum based on experience

Working Hours: Rotating shifts from 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday, with additional overtime as needed. Typical workweek consists of 37.5 standard hours plus approximately 4 hours of overtime.

Weekend Requirement: Occasional Saturday mornings from 6am to 10am, along with participation in the 'On-Call / Call-Out' and Key-holder team on a rotational basis.

Role Responsibilities

We are looking to enhance our Maintenance Team with a dedicated Maintenance Engineer who possesses the right personal attributes and is eager to pursue a long-term career path. The ideal candidate will demonstrate determination and commitment to becoming an integral part of our successful team.

Fibreline operates 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday, across a diverse range of manufacturing processes within our extensive facility. These processes include Robotics, CNC cutting machinery, textile Carding machines, Sewing Machines, compressed air Spray equipment, and Conveyor systems. The role will involve comprehensive training in these areas to ensure a thorough understanding of their operational and maintenance needs. There will also be opportunities for further personal growth through both internal and external training programs.

We seek candidates with a Mechanical Engineering background who can showcase proven experience in a fast-paced, Just-in-Time manufacturing environment. Collaborating closely with fellow Maintenance Team members, you will have ongoing opportunities to contribute positively to preventative and reactive maintenance, new installations, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site. A willingness to learn, a systematic approach to problem-solving, and a strong commitment to Health & Safety protocols are essential.

This role presents challenges that require personal flexibility and commitment, which will be recognized and rewarded.
