About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Three Valleys Hospital in Keighley. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the hospital's facilities are safe, well-maintained, and fit for purpose.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance tasks, conducting audits to identify and repair faults, and working closely with contractors to support the upkeep of the service. You will also be involved in gardening and other maintenance-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring the hospital's facilities, buildings, and equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Utilize good DIY skills to ensure the safety of service users.
  • Assist in regular checks and maintenance.
  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
  • Assist in all decorating.
  • Liaise with a manager to report all faults and defects.
  • Participate in a 1-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
  • Coordinate and support contractors while on site and complete all paperwork and tool checks.

Requirements

  • Comply with systems and procedures.
  • Have previous experience in a maintenance role.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure they receive the highest quality of service.
  • Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

About the Team

You will be working at Three Valleys Hospital, providing a safe and supportive environment for people with complex mental health issues. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide clear care pathways for up to 43 service users across four distinct, gender-specific rehabilitation services.
