We are currently seeking Lead Care Support Specialists for a residential home in Cheshire. This is a full-time, permanent position.
CompensationThe hourly wage ranges from £14.12, with a work schedule that includes a rotating shift pattern, incorporating weekends.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the shift and manage the team of Support Workers.
- Engage with children and adolescents based on their individual requirements, delivering targeted support as outlined in care plans.
- Coordinate and oversee activities within the facility, ensuring they are effectively managed to provide safe and consistent care.
- Plan and facilitate activities that align with the best interests and needs of the children in care.
- Participate in administrative tasks and report writing.
- Ensure the security of the facility, including safeguarding confidential records, cash, keys, furniture, and residents' belongings.
- Assist the management in monitoring the health of the children, organizing medical and dental appointments, and upholding high hygiene standards within the home.
- Engage in training programs as scheduled and pursue professional development opportunities when available.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the home and its residents, acknowledging their vulnerability.
Applicants must possess:
- Prior experience as a Lead Care Support Specialist or a minimum of two years as a Support Worker in a children's residential setting.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3.
- Understanding of child care laws and regulations, human development, assessment and care planning processes, health and safety standards, and children's rights.
