Job Title: Finance Operations Supervisor

At The Sherwin-Williams Company, we are seeking a highly skilled Finance Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our inventory on the general ledger, reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and coordinating the annual physical inventory process.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the accuracy and completeness of inventory on the general ledger
  • Review and analyze monthly balance sheet reconciliations prepared by direct reports
  • Coordinate and book the annual inventory general ledger to sub-ledger true-up
  • Work with the SBS Inventory Accounting Team to coordinate and participate in the annual physical inventory process
  • Manage the activities of operations accounting staff, including monthly financial analysis of operational inventory variances
  • Maintain oversight of cycle counts programs across sites
  • Review and analyze monthly opportunity costs reports for reasonableness
  • Perform ad-hoc P&L analysis to maintain inventory reporting accuracy
  • Assist with audit requests as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a focus in Finance or Accounting
  • Some years of accounting experience
  • Experience with Oracle ERP (OPM and/or Financial), OBIEE, and Standard Cost Development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Ability to work and achieve strict deadlines
  • Proven ability to develop and work to effective financial systems
  • Fluent in English; multi-lingual
  • Supervisory experience
