Job Title: Senior Residential Property Solicitor

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Residential Property Solicitor to join our team as a Technical Lead in Property Law. As a key member of our Conveyancing department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our team provides compliant advice and services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Group Compliance Director to ensure that all advice and services provided by the team are compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee the wider team, including 3 direct reports, and provide guidance and support to trainee solicitors.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the team's compliance with law, regulation, and best practice.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to improve the development of our case management system.

Requirements:

  • Must be a qualified Solicitor with at least 7 years of post-qualification experience in Residential Property.
  • Experience managing a complex caseload of varied Residential Property files, including sales, purchases, remortgages, leasehold, lease extensions, SDLT requirements, building regulations, bridging transactions, and unregistered properties.
  • Equity release experience is highly beneficial.
  • Highly technical abilities and knowledge within Residential Conveyancing.
  • Business development experience is ideal, but not essential.
  • Managerial experience, including mentoring staff and supporting trainee solicitors, is highly desirable.
