As a Principal/Senior Power Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of power electronics components, planning and executing comprehensive testing procedures, and identifying and selecting appropriate power electronic components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of power electronics components, including motor drives, inverters, and AC/DC converters.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive testing procedures to validate the functionality, reliability, and performance of power electronics systems.
  • Identify and select appropriate power electronic components, considering factors such as cost, quality, and reliability.
  • Research, devise, and recommend solutions to technical problems, ensuring that they align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Set up and run lab simulations to test and validate power electronics systems.
  • Take ownership of power supply and related electronics activities, ensuring that they are focused on project objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and make decisions on escalation items, ensuring that they are aligned with the company's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in power electronics design and development, with a focus on EV applications.
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics components, including motor drives, inverters, and AC/DC converters.
  • Excellent testing and validation skills, with the ability to plan and execute comprehensive testing procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to research, devise, and recommend solutions to technical problems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to provide technical leadership and make decisions on escalation items.

Nice to Have:

  • Simulation and modeling of power converters using MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Thermal design experience.
  • Grid technologies expertise.
