Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced paramedic or nursing/allied health professional with emergency care expertise to join our academic team as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Paramedicine/Emergency Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of paramedicine, urgent, emergency, and unscheduled care education to student paramedics/apprentices and other undergraduate and post-registration health professionals.
  • Contribute to the assessment process for students, including setting, marking, and moderation of student work.
  • Design and develop innovative and engaging learning materials and assessments.
  • Participate in curriculum development, including sharing personal knowledge and expertise in high standards for paramedicine and emergency care.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure up-to-date, leading-edge teaching.
  • Support students, supervisors, and assessors in clinical placements and across various care settings.
Requirements
  • Experience of sharing knowledge effectively with learners through passion and commitment to teaching and high-quality service delivery.
  • Practitioner registered with the HCPC or the NMC with experience in the field of emergency care or paramedicine.
  • Ability to undertake teaching at undergraduate level to students from diverse backgrounds.
