Position Overview
We are currently in search of an IT Support Engineer to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you will collaborate with fellow infrastructure professionals to deliver comprehensive support to our end-users, ensuring the seamless operation of our IT systems. This position may require travel between various locations.
As an IT Support Engineer, your primary focus will be on maintaining the stability and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. You will assist in optimizing and upgrading essential components, including servers, storage solutions, and backup systems across our network.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide regular updates on the status of infrastructure enhancement projects.
- Assist in the planning and execution of infrastructure upgrades, aiming to minimize downtime and business disruption.
- Install and configure new IT hardware and mobile devices within both Microsoft and Apple ecosystems.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing infrastructure and identify opportunities for performance improvements.
- Respond promptly to service desk inquiries via various communication channels, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Mathematics and English.
- At least 2 years of experience in 2nd or 3rd level support roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows OS, O365, and common IT applications.
- Solid understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, and switching.
- Familiarity with Active Directory management and backup methodologies, as well as disaster recovery best practices.
- Experience with Wi-Fi technologies, such as HP Aruba.
