Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Oncology Care Nurse to join the UK's premier provider of specialized home healthcare services. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients in their own residences.
Your responsibilities will include conducting blood tests, performing toxicity evaluations, administering IV/oral chemotherapy, managing pump disconnections, providing line care, and executing IM/SC injections, among other duties. While you will operate independently within the community, you will remain an integral part of a broader nursing team, maintaining regular communication with supervisors and peers. This position offers the opportunity to stay at the forefront of your field, gaining exposure to innovative technologies and treatment methods, while contributing to the development of progressive care models.
Essential Qualifications for an Oncology Care Nurse:

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC PIN
  • Possession of a full UK driving license
  • Experience in community-based roles is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Background in acute care settings with proficiency in chemotherapy administration, cytotoxic drug handling, cannulation, and clinical evaluations
  • SACT Passport is preferred but not required
