Main Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cancer Centre at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with haematological and oncological conditions, working closely with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

The role involves undertaking a University Programme in Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) and participating in the development of individualized care plans for patients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Registered General Nurse qualification
  • Care of the Patient receiving Chemotherapy (or equivalent) qualification
  • Understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace
  • Competent in drug calculation
  • Awareness of NHS policies and infection control issues
Experience and Personal Qualities
  • Minimum 2 years experience at band 5 level
  • Experience working in a team and with patients with haematological and oncological conditions
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
