We are looking for a talented Contract BI Developer to become a part of our dynamic team for a 6-month engagement.

This position is perfect for a proficient BI expert who excels in a fast-paced setting and possesses a solid foundation in Power BI, SQL, and DAX. Your primary responsibilities will include crafting and enhancing business intelligence solutions, delivering insightful analyses, and collaborating closely with our data engineering team to ensure effective data integration and reporting.

The compensation for this role ranges from £300 to £325 per day, classified as outside IR35. The ideal candidate should be open to visiting the office multiple times a week. Experience in the betting or gambling sector is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and sustain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
  • Create complex DAX calculations to fulfill business needs.
  • Work alongside data engineers to guarantee data integrity and availability for reporting purposes.
  • Analyze data to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to BI tools and data sources.
  • Contribute to the documentation and standardization of BI processes.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a BI Developer, showcasing a strong portfolio of Power BI projects.
  • Proficient in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Solid understanding and experience with DAX for advanced data modeling.
  • Prior experience collaborating with data engineers to integrate and manage data sources.
  • Ability to convert business requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality BI solutions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication abilities and capability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with additional BI tools and technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
