Role Overview:

The Loss Prevention team is crucial to our extensive distribution operations. As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities essential to maintaining warehouse security. Your primary duty will be to collaborate with the team to safeguard our facilities at all times. Given that our operations run 24/7, ensuring the safety and protection of our premises, personnel, inventory, and vehicles is our utmost priority.

You will serve as the initial point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors, overseeing site access for deliveries and vehicle loads to minimize stock loss.

This diverse role involves monitoring CCTV, fire, and intruder alarm systems, as well as conducting searches of individuals and vehicles to deter theft and prevent inventory loss. In your capacity as a Loss Prevention Officer, you may need to handle incidents calmly and professionally, documenting detailed reports and statements. You will report directly to your Loss Prevention Manager and be responsible for effectively communicating any security risks and incidents.

Candidate Profile:

We are in search of adaptable and motivated individuals to join our Loss Prevention team. While being a collaborative team member, you should possess excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with visitors, management, and colleagues.

A proactive attitude and the ability to remain composed under pressure are essential, especially when addressing potentially challenging situations involving conflict.

Candidates must have a minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and English, along with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Google suites.

A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be necessary for this position, and candidates should be prepared to undergo First Aid training as required.
