Real Estate Investment Analyst

We are seeking a dedicated Real Estate Investment Analyst to become a vital part of our Property Division. This is a full-time, office-based position, requiring 34.5 hours of work per week, from Monday to Friday.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in business, finance, mathematics, economics, or a related field, and should have 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in the industry.
As a key member of the Maven Property Division, you will assist in evaluating, executing, and managing property investment initiatives from their inception through to their conclusion.

Our Property Division specializes in providing equity financing for real estate projects across the UK, encompassing various sectors such as Purpose Built Student Accommodation, Build to Rent, hotels, residential, and investment properties.
We are recognized as a leading developer and initiator of real estate projects throughout the UK, having successfully raised over £400 million in funding to date. Our current portfolio includes 26 properties, with a Gross Development Value (GDV) exceeding £300 million. Our investments span from the Highlands of Scotland to the southern coast of England, focusing on sectors such as Student Accommodation, Residential (including BTR and co-living), Office, and Hotels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Property Division in managing a diverse portfolio of real estate investments across the UK.
- Coordinate deal flow and maintain deal tracking through internal reporting systems.
- Support the team in deal execution activities, including reviewing and contributing to legal agreements.
- Engage in information gathering from various sources, including online platforms and advisors.
- Conduct market research and analysis, liaising with key stakeholders regarding potential investment opportunities.
- Facilitate the presentation of investment opportunities to the Investment Committee.
- Contribute to essential governance activities, including preparing investment committee minutes and drafting portfolio asset reports.
- Compile and input monthly management accounts, budget data, and other necessary portfolio information into internal systems.
- Assist the Property Investment team with various tasks, including managing schedules and organizing meetings with partners, advisors, and investors.
- Perform detailed analyses of investment opportunities, including initial assessments, internal due diligence, financial modeling, and drafting investment papers for the Investment Committee.
- Support the presentation of deal structures and terms to vendors and investment partners, aiding in the negotiation of terms and legal documentation.
Qualifications for Success:
- A degree in business, finance, mathematics, economics, or a related field, with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong numerical and written communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficient data analysis skills and advanced competency in Excel.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Experience in managing property or loan portfolios is desirable.
- Ability to apply commercial acumen to problem-solving.
- Possession of or progress towards relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ICAS, MRICS, CIOB) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent project management and time management capabilities.
