An exciting opportunity has emerged for a motivated and diligent Plumber to become a vital member of an Estates Maintenance Team. This team is tasked with the upkeep and repair of plumbing-related systems and equipment within properties managed by Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will assume the role of Competent Person (CP) as outlined in Health Technical Memorandum 04-01.
In this position, the individual will need to demonstrate flexibility and work collaboratively within a diverse maintenance team, possessing extensive knowledge of water systems, including intricate hot and cold water distribution, drainage, and legionella management.
The role also involves participation in an on-call rota.
Main Responsibilities
All candidates must have reliable transportation for work-related travel, as movement between various properties is essential. The ability to utilize initiative to resolve issues safely and ensure continuous operation is crucial for providing assurance to stakeholders.
Successful candidates must hold a City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Technical Craft Certificate or an equivalent qualification such as NVQ 3, BTEC National Certificate/Diploma, or ONC/OND qualification. Additionally, completion of a recognized Plumbing apprenticeship with a high level of proficiency is required.
The salary for this position falls within Agenda for Change band 4, ranging from £25,147 to £27,596. An additional payment is available, and on-call duties are compensated at a specified rate per occasion, with a minimum pay guarantee for call-outs. All other associated on-call time is compensated at time and a half, including travel time.
Enhanced pay rates for bank holidays and time off in lieu are also offered.

Qualifications
Essential
- City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Technical Craft Certificate or equivalent qualification (NVQ 3, BTEC National Certificate/Diploma, ONC/OND).
- Completion of a recognized Plumbing apprenticeship with extensive experience in complex building services, including hot and cold water distribution systems, sanitary fittings, drainage systems, and an understanding of legionella control.
Desirable

Knowledge and Expertise

- Thorough experience in working with complete water and drainage systems.
