Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Specialist

At Dar, we are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our London design office. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing environmental and social issues across large infrastructure projects, both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead tasks and support project managers in the management of environmental and social issues across various infrastructure projects.
  • Assess large infrastructure projects and programs, ensuring compliance with international environmental and social safeguard standards.
  • Support business development activities, including proposal writing, project budget estimation, and client relationship development.
  • Supervise, manage, and mentor junior staff, including urban planners and interns.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (2.1 or above) and/or Master's in a relevant environmental or ecological discipline.
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in ESIA/EIA, with a strong understanding of ecological components.
  • Excellent report writing skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reports.
  • Good knowledge and experience with international environmental and social safeguard standards.
  • Excellent presentation skills, written and verbal communication, initiative, motivation, and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of UK EIA legislation and the UK planning system is desirable.
  • Air quality, noise assessment, water resources, and GIS skills are essential.
