We are excited to present a new opportunity for a Physiotherapist specializing in amputee rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will possess a BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy, along with current HCPC registration and relevant experience in this field.
Role Responsibilities
As a Physiotherapist focusing on amputee care, you will collaborate closely with Prosthetists and Orthotists to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services. Your role will involve managing complex trauma and amputation cases that require long-term rehabilitation strategies. This includes conducting detailed clinical assessments and preparing well-reasoned reports for funding purposes.
In this position, you will be part of a diverse multi-disciplinary team, which includes Prosthetists, Orthotists, Technicians, Case Managers, Solicitors, and other healthcare professionals. You will take on an independent or leadership role in delivering effective physiotherapy interventions to a varied client base.
Key Duties
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Delivering tailored rehabilitation services as needed
- Communicating effectively with management, case managers, and legal representatives
- Maintaining and updating patient medical records
- Working autonomously and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary framework
- Documenting outcome measures and contributing to research, auditing, and development initiatives

Candidate Qualifications
Applicants should be recent graduates with experience in amputee rehabilitation; however, those with backgrounds in Complex Trauma or Neuro rehabilitation are also encouraged to apply. A strong desire to learn and develop skills in these areas is essential. Training in various prosthetic systems, specialized rehabilitation techniques, and report writing will be provided.
Essential Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy
- Current HCPC Registration
- Valid UK driving license
