Job Description

Bennett & Game Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly experienced Structural Design Manager to join their team in Leeds. As a key member of the company's design team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and development of complex engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Design Manager to lead the design and development of projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical support to the design team, including the development of structural designs and geotechnical analysis.
  • Collaborate with external consultants and stakeholders to ensure that projects meet the required standards and regulations.
  • Lead the design team in the development of construction methodologies and tendering processes.
  • Develop and implement design solutions that meet the company's quality and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • BEng or MEng level in Civil and/or Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Working towards chartership, such as the ICE or IStructE.
  • 10+ years' experience in structural design and geotechnical engineering, with expertise in underground structures, geotechnical, structures, tunnelling, and temporary works.
  • Technical skills in structural design and geotechnical analysis, with the ability to develop and implement design solutions.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers within the team.
  • Sound knowledge of CDM H&S regulations and the ability to apply Temporary works design principals in accordance with BS5975 standard.
