The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Tenancy Management & Resettlement Officer to join our team at Novax Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing excellent tenancy sustainment support to our customers, ensuring they have safe and secure housing that meets local and corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality advice, lettings, and tenancy sustainment services to maximize the number of homeless households who can move successfully into good quality, affordable private rented accommodation.
- Promote the use of the private rented sector as a viable alternative to social rented housing, encouraging independence, preventing homelessness, and reducing the Council's use of temporary accommodation.
- Work effectively with landlords, letting agents, and other accommodation suppliers to secure suitable housing options for our customers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities, housing associations, and other relevant organizations.
- Conduct thorough assessments of customers' housing needs and develop personalized support plans to achieve their goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of tenancy sustainment services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with homeless individuals, at-risk populations, and those in housing need.
- Proven ability to work effectively with private sector landlords and/or within a homelessness context.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers, stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
