We are seeking a qualified Senior Mechanical Project Coordinator to oversee a significant project. This role involves ensuring the successful execution of mechanical service installations, managing personnel, and maintaining service delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing daily project operations, ensuring compliance with client specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Managing financial aspects and providing regular updates to senior management.
- Promoting a culture of safety and quality across all operations.
- Leading and mentoring field supervisors and project teams.
- Conducting thorough investigations of incidents and quality issues, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
- Identifying potential risks to project budgets and timelines in collaboration with commercial teams.
- Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Supervising staff assignments and work schedules to optimize project efficiency.
- Ensuring high-quality service delivery that meets performance metrics and contractual obligations.
- Regularly auditing team performance and service quality to uphold excellence.
- Providing timely and detailed reports on project status, challenges, and solutions to management.
- Reviewing client designs and participating in site assessments.
- Assuming overall responsibility for project methodologies and timelines.
- Adhering to safety and performance benchmarks.
- Collaborating effectively with team members to achieve project goals.
- Upholding a professional image of the department by following company policies and standards.
- Addressing nonconformance issues promptly to ensure resolution.
- Working responsibly within the company's operational guidelines to ensure safety for all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Experience with NEC 34 contracts.
- Background in healthcare project management from a mechanical perspective.
- Recognized qualifications in Building Services Engineering.
- Proven track record in program management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems relevant to project installations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong numerical abilities and proficiency in computer applications.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Flexibility and adaptability in work approach.
- Legal eligibility to work in the UK.
- Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check due to client site access requirements.
- A valid UK driving license with a clean record.
Desired Qualifications:
- Mechanical engineering degree.
- Building Services qualification (HNC preferred).
- APM certification.
- SMSTS certification.
- IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications.
- Legionella Awareness training.
- Experience with Microsoft Project.
