Principal Internal Auditor Opportunity

Reed Finance is partnering with a Leeds-based Public Sector organisation to find a highly skilled Principal Internal Auditor. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing a team of two and leading a wide range of audits across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver internal audit assignments in line with the Strategic Internal Audit Plan and Public Sector Internal Audit Standards.
  2. Identify improvements in internal control, governance, risk management, and operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  3. Provide expert advice and consultancy on internal control, corporate governance, and risk management arrangements.

Requirements:

  1. CCAB or CMIIA qualification.
  2. Practical experience in a similar role.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of audit techniques, practices, procedures, and statutory regulations.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and policies associated with controls, risk management, and governance processes in local government.
  5. Comprehensive knowledge of systems of internal control, risk management, and governance processes across public sector services.
