Senior Mechanical Engineer (Building Services)

Location: South of Basingstoke – easily accessible from M3 or A31

We are partnering with an established and expanding M&E practice, who require an Intermediate / Senior Mechanical Engineer from a building services background to join them.

You'll be playing a pivotal role in mechanical design work, project coordination, support of junior mechanical staff, and assisting the Partners in promoting the practice.

With involvement at all stages from initial project meetings, site and feasibility surveys, scheme designs for competitive tenders, through to snagging, final testing and commissioning, this role will provide you with control at all levels of the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate mechanical design work, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Supervise and support junior mechanical staff, promoting personal and professional development.
  • Assist Partners in promoting the practice, developing business opportunities and relationships.
  • Manage financial aspects of project fees, budget management, and interim payments.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the building services sector.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to building services.
  • A full driving licence.
