Job Title: Senior Electrical Electronic Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Electronic Engineer to join our team at AWE plc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, and testing electronic and electrical systems for our warhead engineering projects.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to apply their expertise in electrical and electronic systems to challenging projects. You will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet safety and performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, integrate, and test electronic and electrical systems for warhead engineering projects
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet safety and performance requirements
  • Plan and execute tasks to deliver agreed objectives to time, quality, and cost
  • Identify and support opportunities for cost savings, efficiency, and business improvement
  • Effective stakeholder management, engaging others to drive decisions and programme delivery
  • Lead, coach, and develop people into multidisciplinary teams meeting delivery objectives
Requirements
  • HNC/HND or degree qualification in a science or engineering discipline or proven experience working in a similar environment
  • Ability to integrate and work well in a team and support or take the technical lead in projects
  • Degree qualification or NVQ Level 5 or experience in a science or engineering discipline
  • Proven track record of driving technical delivery, performance, and continuous improvement with a consideration for quality, time, and cost
  • Proven experience in planning, organising, and balancing priorities to deliver multiple objectives concurrently
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and exceptional people management skills to drive teams with discovering and sharing key information while developing others
