Position Overview:
We are seeking a committed National Account Manager to oversee key accounts, specifically Home Bargains and B&M. This role entails the development and execution of the annual sales strategy, with full P&L responsibility for your designated accounts. You will be tasked with formulating joint business plans that align with the overall sales strategy, driving growth in both existing and new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement comprehensive annual business strategies for your accounts to achieve targeted sales growth, profitability, and distribution objectives.
- Design and execute tailored promotional strategies for each account to meet specific range, space, and ROI targets.
- Manage and influence trading relationships to fulfill agreed sales objectives, enhance profitability, and increase market share.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain, to create annual trading plans that optimize sales and margin potential.
- Oversee the annual NPD customer presentations and range review processes, developing and executing collaborative trading plans.
- Ensure alignment and support across functions (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance) to achieve strategic goals.
- Negotiate and manage trading terms agreements within budget constraints, developing promotional initiatives to maximize ROI.
- Continuously monitor and assess the sales performance of each national account, proposing recovery strategies as necessary.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in National Account management, ideally within the FMCG sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of P&L management.
- Strong commercial insight and acumen.
- Cross-functional experience, particularly in supply chain and marketing.
- Knowledge of Category Management practices and the ability to leverage consumer and shopper data for effective business strategies.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and experience in crafting compelling annual commercial strategies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- High energy, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player.
- Effective communication skills, both internally and externally.
- Outstanding presentation abilities, utilizing modern media and IT tools.
- Dedication to fostering and maintaining strong business relationships with clients.
