We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Sittingbourne Production Team as a Mobile Plant Operator. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant, contributing to the success of our global manufacturing operations.

About the Role

As a Mobile Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operating a range of machinery, including calcination and loading shovel equipment, to minimize waste and maximize efficiency. You will also be expected to carry out basic maintenance tasks, follow operating procedures, and maintain clean-as-you-go standards in line with the 5S methodology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently, minimizing waste and maximizing productivity.
  • Carry out basic maintenance tasks, including equipment checks and repairs.
  • Follow operating procedures and maintain clean-as-you-go standards.
  • Monitor and report any issues or problems to the Calcination Lead Operator or maintenance team.
  • Participate in project and process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Liaise with other shift workers to maintain standards and drive improvements.

  • Experience operating machinery, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • A good level of spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • A good level of math, with the ability to analyze production plans and maximize efficiency.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a level-headed approach to problem-solving.
