We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Sittingbourne Production Team as a Mobile Plant Operator. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant.

About the Role

As a Mobile Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operating a range of machinery, including calcination and loading shovels, to produce high-quality products. You will work closely with the Calcination Team Leader and other team members to achieve our production goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently, following strict clean-as-you-go policies and adhering to 5S methodology.
  • Carry out basic maintenance tasks, including equipment checks and repairs, to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and report any issues or concerns to the Calcination Lead Operator or maintenance team.
  • Participate in project and process improvement initiatives, identifying areas for enhancement and contributing to the implementation of changes.
  • Liaise with other shift workers to maintain standards and drive improvements.

  • A high regard for health and safety standards, with a strong understanding of H&S regulations.
  • Experience operating machinery, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team.
  • A good level of math and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze production plans and optimize efficiency.
