About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team at MTrec Technical, a prestigious engineering client based in County Durham. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring products meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in ensuring products comply with customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Measure and check products using various equipment to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Collate documentation associated with new product approval.
  • Support the concession process for deviations from drawings and specifications.
  • Lead the daily management of the Quarantine Area.
  • Assist in creating Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Conduct internal product and process audits, raise non-conformances, and support corrective and preventative actions.
  • Support 3rd party and customer audits.
  • Investigate internal scrap reasons and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Maintain calibration of measuring equipment through internal and 3rd party services.
  • Adhere to stock transaction process and support management of Supplier NCRs.
  • Support customer NCRs, containment of stock, corrective and preventative actions.
  • Lead problem-solving activities to ensure robust corrective and preventative actions.
  • Support the creation of PFMEA, FMEA, and Control plans.
  • Support the Quality Department and all areas of the business in achieving agreed KPIs.
  • Attend relevant meetings and report on actions assigned, manage own workload and deadlines.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers through visits, team meetings, email, etc.
About You

We are looking for an individual with an excellent work ethic and a desire to support continual improvement activities. You should have good analytical skills, a methodical approach, and problem-solving skills. Experience with 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and Root Cause Analysis is preferred but not essential. You should have great attention to detail, be able to work alone or as part of a team, and have good communication skills, both verbally and through email, Microsoft Teams, etc.
