About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Station Technician to join our team at Buckie Lifeboat Station. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the lifeboat is in top condition and that the station runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain the lifeboat and its equipment to ensure it is in good working order
  • Conduct training sessions for volunteer crew members to ensure they are equipped to respond to emergencies
  • Lead on Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment issues within the station
  • Assist with the day-to-day running of the station, including answering emails and maintaining records
Requirements
  • Time served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience in mechanical/electrical or electronic engineering
  • Knowledge and experience of marine diesel engines and their maintenance
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driving license and ability to respond to pager demands
