Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Relationship Managers to build strong relationships with key donors and secure major funding.
  • Develop and execute a major gifts strategy, set clear targets, and manage an annual budget to ensure growth in income.
  • Manage a portfolio of high-level donors, including institutional funders, to secure substantial gifts.
  • Work collaboratively with the CEO, Trustees, and other stakeholders to cultivate new opportunities.
  • Represent the Philanthropy and Partnerships team at key meetings and forums.
  • Ensure adherence to legislation and internal policies.
Requirements
  • Experience of fundraising from generous individuals and trusts.
  • Experience building effective long-term relationships and influencing with Major Donors.
  • Experience leading a successful team and working at a strategic level.
  • Knowledge of philanthropy in the UK and trends in the sector.
  • Knowledge of budget preparation and control.
  • Understanding of the provisions of GDPR legislation and the implications for fundraising.
  • Education to degree level.
