Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Oldbury. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and healthy environment for our patients and service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a comprehensive maintenance and repair service
  • Carry out a range of tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting, and general building work
  • Maintain plant, services, and vehicles in working order
  • Comply with safe working practices and report faulty equipment and potential hazards
  • Travel to other sites and on occasions be on call to carry out emergency repairs outside of normal working hours
  • Check the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices, and fire emergency lights

Requirements

  • Experience in all types of painting and decorating in both indoor and outdoor environments
  • Willing to travel and hold a full valid driving license
  • Able to communicate at all levels and record detailed, accurate maintenance information
  • Skilled at DIY and general maintenance
  • Preferably Level 2 Diploma qualified in Painting and Decorating/Maintenance
  • Friendly, conscientious, and an excellent team member with a positive attitude
