VAT Accountant Position

We are seeking a highly skilled VAT Accountant to join our dynamic Finance function in Manchester. As a VAT Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of VAT and other non-payroll related taxation, with the objective of minimising tax liability and financial risks.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage VAT and non-payroll taxation, ensuring compliance with legislative changes and regulations.
- Support the Head of Finance and Principal Accountant in identifying, advising on, and managing taxation.
- Provide VAT opinion for all schemes at the approval to spend stage, including the option to tax process.
- Responsible for all taxation calculations, ensuring timely submission of returns.
- Stay up-to-date with legislative changes, ensuring effective implementation arrangements are in place.
- Part qualified/Qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Recent accounting and data analysis experience.
- Knowledge and experience of VAT.
- Experience of managing large sets of financial data within Excel.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
