Job Title: SEN High-Level Teaching Assistant

Location: Exeter

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £80 - £90 per day

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN High-Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEN High-Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement curriculum activities to create an engaging and interactive learning environment.
  • Provide targeted support to help students with SEN reach their full potential.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes diversity and accommodates all learning styles.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students by acting as a positive role model.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless support for students with SEN.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of educational principles and curriculum development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to assist the class teacher and cover lessons during PPA time.
  • Adaptable and resourceful in diverse classroom situations.
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment with strong leadership potential.
  • Previous experience as a High-Level Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
