About the Position

Your role will involve producing and disseminating analyses to support clients in the global energy sector. You will design and uphold predictive analytical models aimed at assisting clients in navigating the fluctuating natural gas and LNG markets.

We seek a highly skilled modeler with a demonstrated history of developing and maintaining intricate models within a Python-based environment. Our work environment is dynamic and project-focused, fostering innovation while ensuring individual accountability and ownership of projects.

In this position, you will create and implement innovative analytical methodologies and models. Merging data with cutting-edge forecasting technologies is fundamental to our competitive edge. You will manage complex analytics projects and engage with clients and prospects across the global energy landscape. Additionally, you will cultivate leadership skills within an international and diverse team, which may require occasional travel within Europe and potentially beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the development and upkeep of all natural gas and LNG models (including fundamental, regression, neural networks, and multi-stage optimization models)
  • Structuring, coordinating, and integrating quantitative analyses on natural gas and LNG markets across the organization
  • Proactively identifying enhancements for our products and services related to data-driven, quantitative energy market models for predicting market variables
  • Exploring and applying new techniques to existing challenges
  • Communicating our analyses to clients and other market stakeholders
Qualifications
  • Significant professional experience in the natural gas and LNG sector, particularly in market forecasting and optimization models
  • Strong understanding of our clients in energy trading, investment, and natural gas and LNG markets
  • Ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and concisely with a diverse range of individuals at various levels
  • Proficient programming skills in Python; knowledge of SQL and database systems; expertise in optimization model systems such as GAMS; experience with version control systems like Git
  • Experience and interest in energy markets, optimization challenges, and econometric modeling
