The District Human Resources Manager plays a crucial role within the Human Resources and Operations teams, reporting directly to the District Manager, while also collaborating with the Area Human Resources Manager to align with operational and corporate HR objectives.

This position is integral to the District Leadership team, overseeing a district that encompasses multiple locations.

In this capacity, you will work with the District Leadership team to cultivate a culture of engagement, ensuring all employees feel empowered to perform at their best and take pride in their contributions.

This role will customize regional human capital strategies to foster an engaged workforce that meets customer demands.

In this position, you will implement HR practices and procedures that align with organizational goals across the district, minimizing risks and ensuring compliance.



Key Responsibilities:

Retention and Onboarding:
  • Oversee and facilitate the district's onboarding program for new associates.
  • Mentor and support onboarding ambassadors throughout the district.
  • Train managers to ensure new hires receive adequate support during their onboarding process.
  • Analyze feedback from onboarding programs, exit interviews, and associate input to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Area Human Resources Manager and District Manager to address local retention challenges.
Talent Management:
  • Guide district team development by coaching leaders in effective people management and associate development processes.
  • Assist supervisors and managers in creating impactful development plans for their team members.
  • Monitor progress on development plans and escalate issues to the District Manager as necessary.
  • Prepare documentation and reports for district-level succession planning and talent review discussions.
  • Execute the Area training plan and partner with location leaders to ensure associates complete necessary training.
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning:
  • Collaborate with various departments to determine appropriate staffing levels based on growth trends and workforce planning tools.
  • Provide staffing support to leadership by collaborating on recruitment efforts, including partnerships with local educational institutions.
  • Facilitate communication between field recruiters and the District Manager to develop and prioritize recruitment strategies.
Associate and Labor Relations:
  • Build proactive relationships at locations to foster a positive culture and engaging environment.
  • Develop a workplace that reflects our Employee Value Proposition by advising associates and management on HR policies and procedures.
  • Participate in investigations of employee concerns and collaborate with the Area HR Manager on recommendations.
HR Expertise & Compliance:
  • Stay informed about employment laws relevant to the district.
  • Communicate effectively to maintain legal compliance through regular analysis and adherence to company policies.
  • Focus on compensation equity and ensure compliance with the Associate Handbook.
  • Ensure all company and legally mandated training requirements are met.

Acquisitions & New Business Integration:
  • Lead the integration and follow-up necessary to successfully incorporate new associates into our organizational culture.
  • Provide ongoing support throughout the integration process, including consistent meetings, onboarding, staffing, and training.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role (generalist, specialist, recruiting) required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • HR certification preferred (e.g., CPHR, CHRP).
  • Knowledge of employment law and compliance issues is essential.
  • Strong presentation skills, including effective oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
  • Proficient in various software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, and familiar with HRIS systems.
  • Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Ability to travel 30-50% within the district, which may include overnight stays based on business needs.
