Assembly and Workshop Technician

We are seeking a skilled Assembly and Workshop Technician to join our team at the South Marston Industrial Estate in Swindon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for stripping down and refurbishing drinking units, including brewery pumps and bar guns.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with electronic components, hand tools, and mechanical equipment. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, adhering to tight deadlines and output targets. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure will be essential in this role.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Stripping down and refurbishing drinking units
  • Using a variety of grease and lubricants for different jobs
  • Changing bearings and other small parts
  • Using tools such as spanners, sockets, screwdrivers, punches, pulleys, cutters, and crimping tools
  • PAT testing and micro meter testing
  • Housekeeping and maintaining a clean and organized workspace

Requirements for this role include:

  • Ability to work at a fast pace and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to lift weights of the units within government weight limits
  • Keen eye for detail and ability to work accurately
  • Experience in using tools such as spanners, sockets, screwdrivers, punches, pulleys, cutters, and crimping tools

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.50, paid weekly, as well as 28 days' holiday (including Bank Holidays) and a pension scheme after 3 months. Pay reviews and opportunities for permanent appointment are also available.
