About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Breathing Apparatus Technician to join our team at Dräger. As a key member of our Service & Repairs team, you will be responsible for carrying out service and repairs on a wide range of Dräger Breathing Apparatus products and Accessories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and testing of various reducer and valve assemblies.
  • Repair and testing of all products within the Dräger Escape range of equipment.
  • Carry out cylinder recharging.
  • Repair and testing of all Dräger Self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment.
  • Repair, testing and commissioning of telemetry systems.
  • Use of automated test equipment for fault finding and final acceptance testing.
  • Completion of all technical documentation relating to the repairs process.
  • Completion of product test certificates.
  • Comply with internal quality standards.
  • Prepare technical repair reports as required by the customer.
Additional Duties
  • May be required to support Field Service Engineers.
  • May be required to support activities in other areas of the Service Department.

  • To comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and minimise any impact on the environment whilst carrying out their duties.
  • To ensure and promote safe working conditions for all employees, visitors and contractors by implementing, monitoring and complying with occupational health & safety provisions.
  • To embed our WeLEAD competencies – I build trust, I create value for the customer, I enable others, I provide direction, I embrace diversity, I deliver results.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language & Mathematics is desirable or proven work experience.
  • Experience in Service and Repair of a range of mechanical devices is desirable.
  • Some electronics knowledge would be an advantage.
