Breathing Apparatus Repair Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Breathing Apparatus Repair Specialist to join our team at Dräger. As a key member of our Service & Repairs team, you will be responsible for carrying out service and repairs on a wide range of Dräger Breathing Apparatus products and Accessories.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and testing of various reducer and valve assemblies.
- Repair and testing of all products within the Dräger Escape range of equipment.
- Carry out cylinder recharging.
- Repair and testing of all Dräger Self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment.
- Repair, testing and commissioning of telemetry systems.
- Use of automated test equipment for fault finding and final acceptance testing.
- Completion of all technical documentation relating to the repairs process.
- Completion of product test certificates.
- Comply with internal quality standards.
- Prepare technical repair reports as required by the customer.
Additional Responsibilities
- May be required to support Field Service Engineers.
- May be required to support activities in other areas of the Service Department.

- Comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and minimise any impact on the environment whilst carrying out their duties.
- Ensure and promote safe working conditions for all employees, visitors and contractors by implementing, monitoring and complying with occupational health & safety provisions.

Size of Team/Environment
- Working in the Breathing Apparatus (BA) repairs workshop alongside four other technicians, within the wider Service & Repairs team consisting of 24 people.
Requirements
- Minimum of three GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language & Mathematics is desirable or proven work experience.
- Experience in Service and Repair of a range of mechanical devices is desirable.
- Some electronics knowledge would be an advantage.
