Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our esteemed partner Primary School in the Hounslow area. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting educational activities as directed by teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) when required, both individually and in groups, to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Aid in the creation and execution of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), modifying teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning needs.
  • Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver engaging lessons and foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages both academic and social growth.
  • Track student progress, confidently manage challenging behaviour, and provide regular feedback to the teaching staff and parents.
  • Help maintain a safe and organized classroom, support the teacher by leading small group activities, and assist with lesson delivery.

Personal Specification:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or relevant degree.
  • Previous experience as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant is preferable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow guidance from teaching staff.
  • Dedication to promoting inclusion and equal opportunities for every student.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are advantageous.
