About the Role

Cubitts KX Limited is seeking a skilled Front-End Software Developer to join our newly created technology function. As the first full-time development hire, you will play a crucial role in bringing our existing tech delivery in-house and driving innovation in our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Discovery and Delivery: You will be responsible for driving decisions on prioritization, scope, and implementation approach, ensuring the successful delivery of our products.
  • Data Engineering: You will define where data is mastered and how it flows across different systems, ensuring seamless data integration and analysis.
Our Technology Stack
  • Shopify: Our customer-facing software products and online retail platform.
  • Python (on AWS Fargate & Lambdas): Our custom software, integrations, and background processing.
  • Innovations Lab Management Software: Managing the glazing process for our frames.
  • PHP (on Fargate): Our legacy order management system (Sylius).
  • Point of Sale Interface: Integrating with our retail systems.
  • Amazon Redshift Data Warehouse, MySQL: Our data storage and analysis solutions.
Requirements
  • Strong Technical Background: Proficiency in Javascript, Python, PHP, SQL, and experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, monitoring, and observability.
  • Agile Development Experience: Leading agile development teams, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
  • DevOps Practices: Experience with CI/CD through tools like Github Actions, AWS CDK, CircleCI, etc.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, including AWS, containerization, monitoring, and observability.
  • Hybrid Working: 1-2 days/week in the London office.
