About the Role

Baxter is a leading medical innovation company that transforms healthcare. We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Maintenance Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct, coordinate, and manage equipment-related maintenance and improvement activities across Compounding sites to ensure continuous improvement in equipment availability, reliability, and capability.
  • Lead equipment-related capital investment in association with the Compounding critical equipment budget.
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated and maintained in compliance with cGMP, FDA, ISO13485, and EHS Legislation.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time to Compounding sites in the UK and Europe.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a Safety-first approach to every aspect of the role.
  • Lead trouble shooting, fault finding, and resolution to root cause of compounding-related plant and equipment.
  • Lead shutdown planning and execution, inclusive of shutdown and start-up activities.
  • Focus on reliability of plant and equipment, working to ensure plant availability and OEE metrics are continuously improved.
  • Deliver best-in-class equipment availability and reliability through reactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance techniques.
Working Relationships

The jobholder will have day-to-day interaction with Engineering Management, Unit Managers, Operations, Validation, Quality Management, Production Staff, Contractors, OEMs, and other stakeholders.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Cleanroom/aseptic manufacturing practical work.
  • Technical understanding of cleanroom plant and associated equipment.
  • Good people, communication, and computer literacy skills.
  • Experience in maintenance and project engineering functions.
  • Knowledge and experience of implementing continuous improvement activities.
