Conservation Architect Job Opportunity

Hunter Dunning Limited is seeking a skilled Conservation Architect to join their team in London. As a leading heritage and conservation practice, they are committed to preserving the UK's rich cultural heritage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the practice
  • Lead the creation and development of detailed drawings and written documentation
  • Attend client meetings across the UK
  • Share expertise in historical architecture and conservation within the team
  • Provide specialist advice on pre-application and planning applications
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and specialists
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in UK conservation and historic building projects
  • Strong eye for historic design and thorough understanding of contractual procedures
  • Experience in historical report writing and technical knowledge
  • Proven experience in restoration work on listed buildings
  • CA/SCA RIBA; AABC; or equivalent would be desirable
  • Full or Associate Member of the IHBC would be desirable
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Photoshop
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the planning process and familiarity with relevant environmental/heritage legislation and guidance
