About the Role

Macstaff is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Telford. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely design solutions to meet the storage requirements of our internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate technical solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Produce high-quality drawings and layouts using CAD packages
  • Produce accurate bill of materials for system entry
  • Ensure all designs comply to CDM rules and SEMA/FEM codes of practice
  • Increasing sales through prompt design costings
  • Provide technical assistance to all internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Drawing software (AutoCAD packages)
  • Competent IT user including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Minimum GCSE A-C (pre 2018) or 9-4 (from 2018) in English, Science and Maths
  • Level 3 or above qualification in general engineering

Desirable Skills

  • Previous industry knowledge, including pallet racking, shelving and mezzanine
  • Good understanding of CDM 2015 regulations
  • Revit BIM modelling experience
