We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Glaucoma to join our dynamic team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical care to patients with glaucoma, including managing junior doctors and contributing to the development of the glaucoma service.
- Participate in the consultant on-call rota and provide cover for colleagues during leave and other authorised absences.
- Contribute to the department's research programme and support ongoing studies.
- Entry on the Specialist Register (or entry expected within 6 months)
- FRCOphth or Equivalent
- Ability to offer expert opinion in glaucoma management and offer surgical treatment options.
- Ability to advise on the efficient and smooth running of specialist services.
- Experience of managing junior doctors.
