Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a reactive and proactive maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.
  • Liaise with external contractors for reactive maintenance and schedule planned service maintenance.
  • Follow and complete planned maintenance (PMs, RMs & CMs) via a Computer Maintenance Management System.
  • Actively participate in projects, continuous improvement, and modern manufacturing principles.
  • Assist in the administration of the CMMS (Frontline) to ensure its accuracy at all times.
Requirements
  • Multi-skilled maintenance engineer (Mechanical & Electrical) qualifications.
  • IOSH - Managing Safely.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a heavy industrial or waste environment.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement (CI) - Lean, Kan Ban, OEE, TOC, and other activities.
  • Knowledge of various mechanical drive arrangements, including simplex, duplex, chain, belt, gearboxes, and transmissions.
