Fire Safety Specialist

At Vox Network Consultants, we are seeking a highly skilled Fire Engineer to join our team. As a Fire Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing expertise in fire safety, theory, and legislation to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide fire safety expertise to our clients, including landlords and property owners.
- Assess external wall reports and fire risk assessments of residential buildings over 11m.
- Assist with drafting schedules of work, notices, and orders for enforcement under the Housing Act 2004.
- Negotiate with and provide guidance to the public, applicants, and their professional design teams on building regulation specialisms.
- Investigate unauthorized work and breaches of building control, including site surveys and obtaining evidence.
- Lead fire safety expert for on-site inspections and accompany teams of EHOs on HHSRS site visits.
- Understanding of the construction industry and awareness of Building Control legislation.
- Basic understanding of building construction.
- Fire safety law and legal proceedings, including prosecutions and expert witness work.
- Experience working with approved documents in High Rise domestic buildings.
- Experience working in housing associations or councils.
- Honours degree in fire engineering or related subject.
- Member grade with IFE.
Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract, PAYE via Umbrella, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
