Job Title: Finance Business Partner

Location: Head Office, Enderby, Leicester

Salary: From £50,000 base, plus bonus & benefits

Next PLC, a FTSE 100 company, is seeking a Finance Business Partner to contribute to the financial reporting and control processes for our growing international business portfolio. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with various departments such as Brand Finance, Tax, and our Total Platform teams.

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and monthly financial reports, including posting journals and compiling financial packs.
  • Support the setup of new international businesses, ensuring robust processes and controls are in place.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts for our international entities.
  • Liaise with external auditors and advisors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Mentor and oversee a junior financial accountant, shaping their role and responsibilities.
  • Contribute to shaping financial reporting processes, ensuring the application of best practices across the business.

Requirements:

  • Experience in developing and improving financial controls, with a strong ability to challenge existing processes.
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across finance and operational teams.
  • Highly detail-oriented, ensuring accurate and timely recording and reconciliation of financial information.
