Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the procurement of all Goods Not For Resale in the business. This will involve using best practice category management, supplier relationship management (SRM) and contract management techniques to obtain the best value goods and services in line with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading on end to end procurement initiatives, using strategic and robust solutions to drive commercial benefit, sustainably.
- Managing internal stakeholders and the supply base to ensure timely success.
- Partnering with stakeholders to provide an effective procurement service, including offering commercially beneficial solutions.
- Identifying new proposals, market shifts and/or ways of working and seeking alternatives where necessary.
- Collaborating with suppliers to identify opportunities for projects and commercial value add.
- Collating and analysing data to identify trends and opportunities, presenting and communicating this to a non-technical audience.
- Ensuring ongoing governance in specific projects and wider category management.
Requirements:
- A background in a commercial role, delivering results in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, category management, SRM techniques and end-to-end sourcing strategies.
- Commercial understanding with strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability.
- Ability to work at pace, in a fast and flexible environment with drive and enthusiasm.
